What is it?

Recycle My Salon is an industry led initiative managed by the HBSA (Hairdressing & Beauty Suppliers Association). It is an aluminium recycling scheme, run on a not-for-profit basis, and is designed for the Hair & Beauty industry.

Why?

There are an estimated 35 million colour tubes per year placed on the UK market, in addition to 15 tonnes of used aluminium foil. These products have residual chemicals on them which most local Councils will not recycle, so they go to landfill.

Where?

We collect used foils and colour tubes, aerosols and drinks cans nationwide. The used products are sorted, baled, cleaned and recycled. The aluminium is then re-purposed into something useful!
